maybe you didn’t train your cat to pee in the toilet?

Is the cat male or female? If male is he neutered? It might be marking territory.

  3. bblloopp says:

you have to train it to go to the bathroom in a litter box and if it usally goes outside to go and poop or pee then you should let it out for longer.

More than likely your cat is jealous of the baby. If you haven’t been paying much attention to the cat and more to the baby the cat is angry. Cats do hold grudges. I went through this when my son was born and it was a pain. Washing everything a few times to get the smell out. You can use vinegar on the carpet because cats don’t like the smell of vinegar. I have done this and it works. But I would recommend spending more time with the cat too. I did and it worked. Now the cat loves my son.

because the baby’s smell is different from the rest of the family’s and kitty is trying to make the stuff more familiar and homelike. this is a tough problem to solve and just washing the stuff does not work. cat pee has crystals in it that do not go away with soap. try to keep baby’s stuff away from cat and door closed. cat will get used to baby’s smell eventually.
