If you start to unpack and discard objects child? Currently there are 12 days from my due date, but I’m still thinking at the beginning of pregnancy, but I have such a desire to take the tags off washed baby clothes and things all together and swings for children and car seat. I’m just so worried that something could still go wrong. Even if your children had finished and ready for the baby?

I’m 37 weeks today and if we were to have the baby tonight we would be all ready for him!
we washed clothes and everything for him yesterday!
I figure for you, now would be a great time, as the chance of things that could go wrong are slim. If you are indeed 12 weeks from your due date!

I think 12days fromyour due date is time!!!
I personally want to have everything set up about a month in advance so its all done and i dont need to worry

Although I totally understand where you are coming from with being worried that something will go wrong…i think you are safe now to start getting things ready. You will be totally overwhelmed when you come home with the baby and will have so much to do that you won’t have time to get the nursery ready. Congratulations!!!

12 days before the big event, open your stuff, girl. That baby is going to be fine and so are you. Good luck with your baby.

I started doing all my prep from 30 weeks. Only because I had an early show at 29weeks… I am now 39 weeks and still waiting for my arrival. But I was happy along the way knowing over the next weeks if my baby was to come I would come home from the hospital prepared and ready so I could just bond with my baby!!

you’re nesting and its perfectly normal for yu to start putting together your nursery now, that way when the baby comes you’re already prepared

it would be a good time to do it very soon since your due in 12 days!

12 days off your due date is a little late to have not even started the washing yet you dont want to get caught short and have to do it all while you are in labour. Im 20 weeks and most of my gear is in the nursery waiting already

You are 12 days away from ur due date… I’m sure you could unpack everything and wash it up. I had my nursery done by the time I was 28 weeks… There is no set time to set up the nursery. Do it when you feel comfortable.

The day after my baby shower is when I started to set the room up. Actually, the night OF my baby shower is when my fiance put the crib together. :)

I go to the doctor’s tomorrow to find out what day I am being induced this week (medical reasons) .. so I want it all done, and I’m taking a break from finishing up as we speak .. had all the clothes put away and everything, now I’m just decorating, and putting the new rocking chair and ottoman and stuff up .. can’t wait. :)

You are totally fine to do it now, because baby can come ANY time now! .. :) I recommend starting it now, or tomorrow, whenever, because the little one may be coming tomorrow – you never know. :) Plus, it will help pass the time. Good luck & congratulations!

i wasn’t so lucky as to have any of that fun stuff, but you’ll want to get it taken care of asap. That baby can come any day now, and you will be way too tired to take care of any of the preparation then. Do it now so it’s easier later. after your second trimester you shouldn’t even have to worry too much unless you have had problems earlier. good luck.

Shoot i have stuff hanging in the closet now and stuff opened because i cant stand the excitement and im only 17 weeks but i understand the paranoia. I would say at this point start enjoying the fun of getting stuff ready cause your baby is gonna be here soon your going to be a mommy very soon make it one last thing you have to worry about. Enjoy it for a couple days while everything is set up perfectly in it’s home and nothing out of place because once baby’s home the nursery will probably turn into chaos LOL. Good Luck

I’d certainly do it now. Most moms do it the month prior, but certainly 2 weeks before (you’re ‘full term’ now). You could go into labor any time and it would not be fun to have to do all that stuff AFTER the baby is home. Unless you think you can (or want) to get hubby or your mother to do it while you’re in the hospital.
Have you held off on ‘falling in love’ with your baby because something could go wrong? Of course not, so unwrap, unpack, etc. If something horrible went wrong, returning baby stuff would be the least of your emotional worries, I assure you. Congrats – good luck! I’m due this Friday and I unpacked it all about 4-5 weeks ago!! ;)

You should start because you can go into labor early and not have time.
