i’ll start buying them when i get pregnant, lol
I didn’t start buying stuff until I knew that I was having a boy(about 22 weeks).
I would say yes indulge yourself!!! You past the mark, so shop till you drop!
Oh and Congratulations!!
I started buying baby things when I turned 15 weeks. Now I have almost everything I need.
I have also had 2 m/c’s so buying stuff was scary. At 16 weeks, I saw he was a little boy so we have bee blue crazy since then. I am glad b/c our nursery furniture is going to take up to 12 weeks to get here. You are now out of the danger zone so enjoy the pregnancy and shop your heart out!
at 13 weeks lol
I’ve had 6 miscarriages but this baby felt different.
Plus your past 12 weeks! Your risk goes down dramatically.
13 weeks is the milestone that your chances of a miscarriage have decreased by a huge percentage. Go out and buy have fun, but also remember to take it easy to. Congrats and have a great 7 more months.
if you want to then go ahead course it will be safe if anything is going to happen it will for a reason not by buying clothes and thinking you will jinx it or something, you will be fine.
i have my 20 week scan on 14th of july so once i find out what the sex is then i will start to get the things i need then
I think you should be fine to buy a few things.
I say go for it and get your baby a few things, honestly i cant walk in any store that sale baby stuff and not get anything anymore haha. Just wait until you find out the sex of your going to thats when the real shopping starts! Congrats have a great pregnancy.
no wait until the 8th mouth so you know what to get and what sex your baby well be but if you have 2 miscarriages it’s possible that you may not get to have this one but if you do make it to the 8th mouth it’s time to start getting that room ready for that baby and don’t put your self in a lot of stress.
i started buyin stuff wen i was 15 weeks i bought the crib n a few other simple things, you should be fine shop ur heart out..but witout knowing the gender u cant get very many things besides the neutral stuff..
I waited til i knew what i was having that way i could get the colors appropriate for the gender. i didn’t want neutral stuff especially if i was having a girl which i did. i didn’t buy anything for this 2nd baby yet. at the end of July i find out what i am having then iw ill buy stuff.
I’m 15 weeks Thursday, and already have one cribset, (beatrix potter, green, gorgeous) and I’m sure that when my in-laws get here to visit, there will be MANY more baby things bought.
I say go ahead and get small things…Pacys, booties, onesies (white or whatever, til u know the sex), bottles, boppy pillows, nursing gear (i.e. covers etc). I know I’m ready to start buying…Lol.
I think for me, I’m not showing much yet, so it helps me make the pregnancy feel more real…(tho with my morning sickness, idk if it gets more real).
Good luck and buy as you please…Too early? PSH!!
Lol I’m only 10 wks and I hve already bought some things, I couldn’t help it.Sweety you can’t live in fear, it’s ok to buy 1 or 2 or 3… things lol
As you enter your second trimester your risk of miscarriage drops dramatically–you’re at 13 weeks now so I personally think it’s safe for you to begin shopping.
I’ve had a couple of miscarriages myself, the things I did buy before the miscarriage happened I gave to friends that were expecting so at least the things weren’t sitting around the house going to waste.
i started buy my first things just around that time,i didn’t go all out i just got like 2-3 outfits in neutral wash cloths one thing that did was i kept the receipts to those purchases once i knew it was a boy i just exchanged the outfits and got them for boys, and then just started buying the rest of the things,i still have most of the receipts just in case they were wrong.but you should not let the fact that you had a miscarriage before keep you from buying things you can not think it will happen again of course it is always possible not only for you but for anyone who is pregnant but that does not stop most of them you must remain positive that everything will turn out just fine with this pregnancy, good luck
i didn’t buy anything until i found out mine was a boy as well. that was only because the sort of things i wanted to buy were things like clothes, blankets, and fun stuff like that. if your baby is healthy and you want to buy some things for him/her i say go for it. buying things for your baby seems to make it feel more real.
buy a few things to ease the frustration. I am due August 3rd and I have everything for my daughter. everything but a name. anyway go and buy some neutral clothes or maybe even a crib something to get it going. but it’s normal to worry, relax, go shopping and congrats
Well I know how ya feel since I too have had 2 prior miscarriages. I’d say at this point, go for it!! There are no guarantees in any pregnancy at any point….So technically speaking your risks for miscarriage have gone down significantly now that you are past that first trimester. Doesn’t mean that it couldn’t happen, but really it can happen at any point. You are less likely to though now. I personally waited till i knew if it was a boy or girl, so I could buy gender specific. You could buy a few neutral things though:) Good luck and God Bless!!
