Thats how all baby clothes seem to be Like Gap Runs HUGE.. Eventually by the time shes 2 it will all be about the same..
Unfortunately yes. What’s even worse is I will buy an outfit for my little boy and the shirt will fit him and the pants will fall off. Only after the shirt is too small, will the pants fit. It’s ridiculous, but I guess all baby’s have they’re own shape and size and every brand is different too.
Yes! My son is really long, so he has to wear 12 month sleepers and he’s only 7 months old. He can fit into 6-9 month pants and 3-6 or 6-9 month shirts. But the shirts get too short for him before he really fits into them width wise. And for him, I’ve found Carters brands are pretty dead on for size, except for the sleepers of course.
My son is 7 months and he wears 12 months in gymboree. I think their clothes run small. Of course he is 20 pounds, so maybe he is just big.
baby clothes are really funny. It just depends on the brand and make. I thought i was crazy cause my 6 month old fits into 12 and 18 months in clothes but 6-9 or 12 months in sleepers, but yours really varies!! Im glad im not the only one confused! LOL
My daughter was like that. She was 12 months wearing 9 months from Children’s Place. She’s almost 2 now and she still fits into some 18month clothes. It’s normal.
yea das normal because all the clothes well some of the clothes are so small even thought is not suppost to be and some big one are too small… my baby just turn 9months n wears 18month old clothes
It’s not just baby clothes, It’s all clothes.
My son is 9. He has jeans that are size 9 all the way to 14.
Yesterday the shirt I was wearing was a 3X and was sort of tight. (made me feel real good!) Today I’m wearing a large. Fits fine. I did read a while ago that sizes used to be standard for all brands. But some time in the ’80′s they did away with that. So now there is no standard. I also heard a designer of TV saying that the sizes change every two years. He had just got in his new dress forms for next year. I have a pair of pants I wore in High School. The same size I wear now. I was so excited. I could maybe fit in them again. Not a chance. They wouldn’t even go past my knees.
You just need to know sizes are just a suggestion. You need to know what size in what brand your kid wears. They just need to go back to standard sizes.
My son is 11 months. He wears 18 to 24 months in t-shirts/sweaters. His pants are 12 months. His torso is very long so he needs the bigger shirt…I’m hoping his pants will catch up soon because I can’t buy matching sets or anything since the size 18 pants just fall off him.
I find that different brands are never the same sizes. My favorite brand for my son is Walmarts “George”. Those seem to be a good fit, and don’t shrink much in the washer. The worst brand is “gerber” for shrinking.
I have no idea, but my baby is 5 months today and wears generally 3-6 month clothes and can still wear her newborn onesies….I don’t get it because none of her newborn clothes fit but her onesies are fine.

Thank you so much for posting this question! I am expecting in July and I have TONS~ TONS of clothes. And I am thankful, but I am so confused! I try to sort them by size but a NB looks like a 6 month old outfit. Thanks again! I will just try trial and error when she gets here!
my daughter will be 6 months on the 10th and she can wear 3-6 months pants and shirts seperately but a one piece outfit she needs 6-9 months bc she is so long but thin and has huge feet. and when she has to move up a size in pants they dont stay on her waist. i told my fiance they need to make a baby thin and tall store for us to buy her clothes at lol.

Yes she is. She’s in 0-3 month onesies and shirts and still in NB pants. 0-3 month sleepers. NB gowns.
mine is diff sizes in diff brands; she’s eleven mos and petite, and we have discoved she can wear some of her 3/6 clothing from last year! LOL
