I always hung mine above the crib. I start using blankets when they can fully roll over on their own.

I put it sideways across the cot as a bed sheet (on top of the bed sheet). I found it offered an extra layer of comfort and seemed cosier to lay on. Made my little one look really snug. Its important that its secured and under the mattrass hence why i placed it lengths ways.

dont drap nethingover the crib while the baby is a newborn. she could easily pull it down over her head. i put my daughter’s blanket above her crib when she was new but now i used it as extra padding on her bed because i can tuck it into the sides. her blanket is really thick and doesnt seem like it would be all the comfortable so i jus use other blankets to cover her.

  4. Cindy C says:

    Just put it up.
You can start using it when the baby is able to move around on his own.

I dont suggest hanging it on the crib, as you may never know if it will ever just slide down and cover your baby’s face or body, you can put it away for now, does not matter how cute it looks baby’s safety comes first, and you can start using it as soon as you feel your baby is ready, because they all grow so different just do it when you think is best for your baby.

i always lay my baby on top of it…

i hung my baby’s over her changing table and it is so cute! i will hang a shelf over the blanket also. i figured it would be safe to put it over the table since she’s only in it for a min and I never leave her in her changing table unsupervised.

Draping it over the crib would be cute. Hanging it on the wall sounds like a pretty good idea, but I think having it draped would be cuter. Also, you’ll be able to easily grab it to snuggle with baby.

By the time baby is big enough to pull it off the crib they’ll be big enough to use it.
