a few hundred bucks- my older son is 3 1/2 and has a trampoline and a power wheels, both pretty expensive… but were christmas and birthday gifts

baby toy- probably not more than 60 dollars

    i wouldn’t spend 40 dollars on it

    Once I paid 55$ for a toy….and she played with it once…..2 years later……….

It’s easy to get carried away with kids, with all the neat toys they have nowadays, it’s easy to spoil them. After the previous moment I mentionned above, I only started spending a bit more on her when she reached an age where she knew exactly what she wanted and why she wanted it.

Quit asking this kind of questions – money is one of the least crucial factors of human life

I once bought a brand new fisher price bouncer with the vibration, lights and the sounds, but my little one was behind developmentally so I thought the stimulation would be good for him. That bouncer was about $49.00. I usually find the best things at garage sales in the summer and at the Goodwill though. Ebay is also great. I keep my eyes open. But, there are some things that I do buy new on occasion because it is going to meet a current developmental need very well. I wouldn’t pay $39.00 for a baby blanket. Search for one on ebay!

    $60 for bikes

Just hold onto that blanket like your life depends on it, lol. We have a stuffed animal my daughter loves so I get the whole “2nd thing”, just don’t loose it!

The most I have spent is 15$ on an old school poppy pusher. lol. I definately would not recommend spending more than twenty dollars on a toy for a child. There is a chance they will not even like it, it will break eventually, or the child just won’t be interested in it for a long period.
Hit up garage sales, discount stores, and goodwill types.. My daughters favorite toy (elmo) is from goodwill. 50cents! lol.
Make sure all toys are washed well first though.. haha.

    good luck on everything! thanx.

I don’t have children yet, but I bought a blanket for my niece when she was born that was $35 and it was SUCH a waste. She never used it, and it is in the bottom of her closet now.. she’s 10.

4000 for a gold plated teething tot

So far, $85 for a jumper for my 5 month old. But it’s well worth it so I can shower and do dishes, etc. I think that for just a blanket (even a security blanket) $39 is way too much.
