I really don’t know maybe try pot and pans and wooden spoons. Or go to a baby store and find a toy that is specified for her age

Best toys are things you have around the house. Obviously things that baby cant choke on/no sharp objects. Babies get tired of things very quickly and the toy companies make people think you need to get more toys.

If you go to Toys R Us, look in the baby section. You can get anything that says, 0-3 months, 0-6 months and so on.

The exersaucer is great but don’t leave her unsupervised until you know she won’t lean forward and hit her head on something. My daugher was ok on her own in it at about 5 months.

Toys that are age appropriate, that are teething toys and can be held and put in the mouth without chocking the baby. This way the baby and practice hand eye coordination and sooth its need to suck. Also toys that make noise when they are pressed so the baby can learn cause and affect.

My son is now just about 8 months old, when He was around 4 months we got him a really cool toy from kmart I believe, it is called the kick and play. it is one that they lie under neath and just have a ball, they kick a plate thingy and there are toys hanging right above there head that spin and make noise. My son would lay there for a long time playing with that thing! and it is not to expensive either! I think we paid like 25 dollars for it! Since it is sort of hard to explain here is a pic……

You are still the best toy for a 4 month old! :) Baby will be happy listening to you read, sing, clap and just watching you around the house. At 4 months you can stimulate your baby with reading and music much better then a jolly jumper (which she is WAY too young for) or an exersaucer (wait until she can sit unsupported). Hand play is very important as she is still discovering her own hands, feet and capabilities so find games to play that encourage this. I know you can’t play with her 24/7 so to give her a different perspective try her car seat or sit her surrounded by pillows, yes, she’ll fall over, but she’ll learn how to roll and eventually pull herself up to sit again. An exersaucer is great for later on if it has stimulating toys and there is not too much pressure on her legs.

Buy a Bumbo! This is the greatest thing ever! My son is almost 5 months old and he loves it cause it helps him sit up straight. As long your child can hold their head up pretty well, they are ready for a Bumbo. I got mine at Target, but I think you can get them anywhere else like Walmart.

A walker or a Johnny jumper will help her work the muscles in her legs and encourage crawling and walking.. some say that walkers are for when they are old enough to walk, but I say if they can sit up and can fit then it’s fine.

my little one was in her walker at 4 months and loved it!

Also if you want to encourage her to sit up more the ocean wonders rockin’ aquarium gym is for babies who are sitting up. You could sit her next to it and put a pillow behind her back to support her and encourage her to sit up on her own.

Hand held toys are also a good idea since by now your baby is learning how to use her hands, and toys she can hold like raddles and dolls will teach her to take control of her hands. It’s good to begin to teach your baby to entertain her self.

I can’t think of the name of it just now, but there’s a baby walker you can place the child in that will allow her to scoot around and which has all sorts of things mounted on it for her to look at and play with. Perhaps it’s made by Fischer Price or Playskool, both of whom make great toys for the little people. :)

mom of 3 -9, 3, & 6 mths. all 3 of mine loved the johnny jumper, but you have to watch them in those when they’re that young they tend to lean to one side. my 6 mth has the saucer & loves it. but best toys & cheap, are ones they can hold easily, that make noise, have bright or lots of colors, & light up, but no choking hazards..check for age appropiate..
