    wash them first

I would wash it before baby get here. You might be tired and don’t want to do anything after birth.

Yes, esp the new ones. New fabric can have all kinds of chemicals on it from the factory that it was made in. just use a gentle, natural wash (ones suitable for wool are good) and be careful with fabric softeners, because they can cause allergies etc because they leave a residue on the fabric.

Why don’t you wash the ones you know for sure that will be use (like the one that you will be taking him home from the hospital in) and if you run out, then use the old ones until you feel ready to wash?

I would say wash at least one full load of baby clothes. Starting first with the things you know the baby will use (i.e. onesies, socks, blankets, washcloths, towels, etc…) You can just wash a few of the full outfits he will use to go out so you have them ready, and then continue washing as you need them. This way you wont wash something that he may never wear, but you will have some available for when he does need them

If you have a lot, then wash your favorites and put the others aside to wait and see. Especially if it’s size newborn. My daughter only fit in newborn for about 1 1/2 weeks (she was 7lb 6oz).

I would wash it all before he’s born. Your probably not gonna wanna do anything else after he’s born, but sleep and spend time with him. Haha. Just get it done and over with. :)

I took the tags and off everything and washed it all… my baby is now 7 weeks old and I wish I hadnt done that. So much of the clothes I should have kept as new because he doesnt use it and now i think i could have returned it. I would say absolutely wash all the onsies and sleep and plays because when my baby was born I found myself only wanting to put on the sleep and plays because it covered his feet and kept them warm. this is only my opinion though. good luck!

  9. Sandra says:

get as much stuff done now as you can – you wont have time later

  10. Elsie and the fishnets says:

I washed all my son’s clothes when I got them and then every four weeks. I’m obsessive when it comes to cleanliness, I wash all the clothes worn or not every 4 weeks.
