   Let her buy it. You only get to do that once. First baby first bedding SOOOOOOOOOOOOO special. If you want to PAy for it, let HER pick it out.

   We did safari animals (lions, giraffes, elephants). So cute, and will work for any sex of baby. Babies don’t really need that much bedding. In fact, while they are in the crib, they are not supposed to have ANY blankets, pillows, animals, etc in the crib with them (SIDS risk – the baby can suffocate, because they can’t kick a blanket off of them if it covers their nose). Get a cute bumper and crib skirt, and buy plenty of crib sheets. Other than that, you are just wasting your money.

   But I like the whales better. It is more original.

   Let her pick what she wants…that is such a big decision. The bedding will decide the whole theme of the nursery. You can buy it or get her a gift card to buy it but I wouldn’t pick it out for her. If you REALLY want to do something she would appreciate…spend time with her after she has the baby. Go to her house…clean, cook, make her take a nap while you care for the baby. That is what I appreciated the most out of everything I got.
