I am TTC 9 months now, got my period today- devastated. I tell myself not to get excited every month and yet every month I build my hopes up so high, and when I see baby items bargains I so want to buy them, but then I think some people TTC for like 2 years and I don’t want to hold onto the babies stuff for that long, but I guess it does make sense to start a little collection, just try not to get carried away, i know that is what I would do which is why I haven’t started my own collection.

I don’t think so, you’re just excited. Keep thinking positive! Good luck.

It’s not weird but it may be painful if it takes longer than you thought it would. Some people TTC for years and fail. If this becomes the case then your closet full of baby stuff will become a toxic reminder of what is so difficult to achieve. I guess it depends on how long you’ve been trying and if doctors have diagnosed you with any potential bumps in the road.

I grabbed some baby toys a couple years ago. My aunt was going to throw them out and I knew I’d use them eventually. So I grabbed them. They’re in my basement somewhere. lol (I was not ttc at the time. Didn’t think I would for a LONG time). I think it’s fine. Free is free and will save you money in the long run. (money which you will need when the baby comes). Just don’t get too carried away. That may hurt more than help (hurt your feelings if you guys take a while to conceive).

    Good luck!

Best of Luck on trying to Conceive. It’s really up to urself But if you want Baby Products in a Drawer or Wardrobe for 1-5yrs going out of Fashion or going out of Date you wouldn’t really be saving money.I had a Baby 7 Years ago and I have been trying for another for 4 yrs.I had to throw all the clothes out i had kept cause i just couldn’t bear to look at them.Cause I so wanted a Baby. When I finally got Pregnant I had a Miscarriage. So If i were you wait till you get pregnant and then purchase all the stuff. Also it may tempt faith.

Well… it is a little creepy but mostly your adding subconscious pressure to yourself. I would rather you start a small fund in preparation such as 10 dollars a month or whatever is comfortable and that way once you have withdrawn your baby expenses you can use the remainder for a CD as a foundation for your childs college fund.
    Good Luck!
