I’ve got the opposite. My 21 month old is about 22-23 lbs and is still fitting in 12-18 month clothing.
My daughter is 10 months, 30 inches, and 19 pounds.
She’s in both 6-12 and 12-18 clothing.
Wow, tall boy! My 7 month old is around 28 inches and 20 pounds. she is also in the 9-12 month size.

My son’s 6months & is 26.45lb & is in proportion with his height & head circ!
We recently bough 6-12month size & had to break the neck stitching to pull it over his head & it BARELY does up. I’ve increased to 12-18month size now & it’s quite snug, it’s crazy, he’s already outgrown his exersaucer!!!
Oh well, guess I’d better learn to make my own clothes!
I have small babies too. My first daughter is 2 years and 9 months and weighes 29lbs. She is still in a size 2 generally, but can wear size 3 tops and 18 month bottoms. Many size 2 pants are still too big on her waist.
My 6 and a half month old weighs 14lbs 12oz and wears 6-9 month clothes. Some 3-6 month still fit her, depending on the brand – Roots and joe Fresh she wears 3-6 month.
My daughter is a few days short of 3 months, she was last measured at her 2 month appointment where she was 11 lbs 5 oz and 23 inches long. She’s outgrown some 0-3 month stuff but not others.
My son is 7 months.
24 3/4 inches and 15 lbs
He is wearing 0-3 months on most 3-6 on others. Above that the pants fall down, and the length is so long they go past his feet, and in shirts his arms are half way of the sleeves.

My son is 7 months old, he’s 27 in and 21 lbs. In daytime clothes he wears 12 month and in pjs he wears 18 months. They’re long on him but they fit his belly and thighs.
My son is 9.5 months old, 30inches tall and 20lbs, he still wears his 6-9 months clothes and 9month clothes but most of the 9month clothes r big on him!
My son is 4 months old, 24 3/4 in. long and 14lbs 4oz. He fits perfectly in most 3-6 months clothes, although we expect him to outgrow those soon. Most 6-9 months outfits are still a little big on him, the sleeves cover his little hands, but since he’ll fit in them soon that’s the size we’ve been getting him.
She’s 5 weeks
Weighs around 7 and a half lbs, and is only just in Newborn this week after being in ‘Tiny baby’ for the last month.
I’m the opposite to you lol, everything the correct size is massive on her.

My daughter is 9 months, 29 inches but only 16.5 lbs. I usually put her in 12-18 month clothes to accomodate her height. But they hang on her because she is skinny!
My son is nearly 9 months, is about 29 inches long and 21 pounds. He is in 12-18 month clothing. Kids grow like weeds until around 5 to 5.5 months old and then slow down majorly.

My son is almost 11 months now, but I dunno how tall he is or how much he weighs because he hasn’t been to the doctors for a couple months. He wears 18-24 clothing, but I think he isn’t gaining as fast because he is walking now.. he has lost A LOT of baby fat and he was pretty chunky! Anyway at 4 months he was 27 1/2 in and 17lbs 9oz and wearing the same size clothes as your baby. He was a big baby at birth (9lbs 13oz) so I wasn’t expecting him to fit into clothes meant for his age. So the answer to you question is YES lol.

She’s 2 1/2 months weighs 15-16lbs and is in 6-9. Don’t know her length. She was 8 lbs 12 oz when born.
My LO has been in 9months clothes since 3 months, she is now starting to level out at 5 months. She is 28inches and 21lbs
My 14 month old is really tall too. He’s 27 pounds or so now, so he’s lean and tall. He’s been in the 95 percentile since he was born. He can fit into some 18 month clothes still, but he’s mainly moved onto 24 month old clothes. It’s crazy!
My son is 14 months old and he’s a big boy…..he is 27 pounds and is 34 inches tall…he is in the 75% for both height and weight and the 90% for his head. his problem with clothes is that shirts are too short and narrow in the shoulders and chest area so he wears 2T in shirts and 24 month and 2T pants. i would have never thought he would be such a big boy because he was only 5 lb and 4 oz and 18.5 inches at birth (he was 5 weeks early too).
dont worry it also depends on the parents sizes too like im 5’5 and my boyfriend is 6’6 so i figured our son would be tall. so dont worry bout the size that your baby is at 5 months just as long as he is healthy and active. he will slow down on growing and stay in the same size for a while then take off growing again.
Good Luck on finding cute boy clothes once your son gets into even bigger sizes thats what my troubles are now. everything is mostly action figures int he bigger sizes. what happened to elmo or scooby doo simple things?!
mine is 6 months 20 pounds and 29-1/2 inches long, hes 98% tall and 90 % weight, hes 9 and 12 months clothes

clothing is soo stupid when it comes to infants.
my son was born 8lb and 53cm, he would fit into 0000 (newborn) only for about a week.
at 2 months old he was wearing size 000-00
he is 5months now and 19lb+
he is now in size 0-1 which is for 12months+ even though he “”Should be”" in 3-6mnth still lol

Mine little girl is long and thin. She is 10 months wearing 18 month clothes. I have to go larger just so her pants are long enough to hit her shoes. Of course it looks like shes swimming in some of her shirts.
