My child has toys, fold, glockenspiel, the game cute little melodies, rattle, have all sorts of different textures, etc. I really do not want to ruin him. I was maybe just a cloth in a solution of baby wash and soak in warm water, then wipe with the line thinking they dry. Is this the general idea of what they mean, wash surface with mild soap and a damp sponge and lay out to dry? Any ideas on how to delete this? Just think about it? What should I do? I would appreciate any advice that! Thank you! Please note that baby stuff in your mouth! Harsh solvents are probably not healthy!

On most toys, especially metal or plastic with hard to reach places, Windex is the easiest. It does the job and evaporates quickly so as to avoid rusting or tarnish.
With more delicate items such as dolls (including some cloth dolls) or porcelain head dolls, use the cleanser (usually facial) like the physicians use that comes in a little packet – it will be an alohol wipe — you can gently wipe with Witch Hazel – a great old cleanser still around, but much neglected these days, will not damage anything.

If your not wanting to put in washer. (Fabrics) You can vacuum first then clean with disinfectant wipe(Clorox Wipe). When dried rinse with just wet cloth….

I wouldn’t try any of the above! What i have been doing is what you mentioned. I either use Dreft (is that spelled right?) or Tide unscented/undyed. I use very little with warm water and then either hang or lay out to dry. Haven’t had any problems. Hope this helps.
