I use anything that is dye free and fragrance free. I actually use All of Purex. There really is only a price difference.
Price is the only difference. I bought a big thing of Dreft while pregnant, and once it runs out I will be washing her clothes in All Free and Clear.
I personally cannot afford to pay $10 for a small container of detergent, so Clorox 2 or Gain is what I normally use.
I used Dreft for the first 2 to 3 months, then I used Tide.
i use dreft.
)
my mother used it, my grandmother used it, so now i use it.
it is expensive though,
Dreft is stupid…it’s supposed to be “gentle” and “fragrance free” so that it’s safe for baby….
Go to the market right now and go sniff the box of dreft…IT TOTALLY has fragrance in it..
We ended up just buying our plain old “free” laundry detergent…Tide Free …has no dye, no fragrance and we were just fine.
im not sure what the differences are but i would use baby detergent no matter what the label says. there’s something in it to make it a little easier on the babies skin. they are much more sensitive then we are to chemicals and things like that. i know dreft costs more, but its necessary at least at first. Try “ALL” they have one for the baby also, and i find it is cheaper. Good Luck!
I do use Dreft and I wash my babies clothes seperate from my husband and mine. But, my ped said it usually okay to wash babies clothes in regular detergent with the rest of the laundry. She said to start by washing one thing (like a onsie) in with our clothes and see if his skin became red. If he seemed fine, then its okay to just wash his things with regular detergent.
Dreft smells really nice. I’ve used chemical/dye-free detergents to wash baby clothes- it is absolutely fine. I was told that Target has a generic Dreft that is almost the exact same thing (smell and everything) but cheaper.
As long as its for sensitive skin, its fine. I talked to the dr about this and he suggested any thing with out frangance. I use baby all but have used all free and clear. My kids have extrememly sensitive skin and need to be careful. Even though dreft and gain have the ingredients, they might not be at the same amounts. I would stick to something that is made for sensitive skin.
I use it because I like the smell, and when I was trying so hard to get pregnant…those darn containers next to my normal detergent would make me depressed because I wanted a baby.
Then when I got pregnant and had my daughter I buy it because I can.
It is totally idiotic and a waste of money on my part, but I am going to keep doing it. And it smells good too.
Any fragrance free stuff will be fine…and the normal detergent too so long as baby doesn’t have skin sensitivity.
i use dreft for my baby clothes my child’s pedatricain told me to use that because it’s the best for your babies skin gain isn’t that an adults laundry soap?
Yes, my baby has super sensitive skin and this is the only one that doesn’t iritate her.
I use dreft, personally i like the smell of it, a nurse at the hospital told me that dreft and ivory may have some of the same ingredients, but that they have less of the ingredients that can irritate baby’s skin. That is why they are marked as “safe”. I hope this helped.
Nope, I use dye and perfume free sunlight.
