Any sort of developmental thing is good. Kids love those things that you can push the buttons and they make noise, play songs, etc. Normally you can just look at the age and if it says 18+ mos or something, that’s probably your best bet :) haha

Books with different textures, flaps, ribbons, etc.
Fisher Price has some awesome blocks out that are clear and have the alphabet on them and inside they had different things that rattle, clink, move, etc.
Fisher Price Little People and all the props that go with them
    Push carts
Balls. You can buy those big soft balls for a $1 at Wal-Mart
Activity tables. They play music, teach numbers, ABC’s, songs, etc.
LeapFrog has loads of awesome toys out
    Play cell phones
Play cameras (you click the buttons and they teach you different colors and animals)

My daughter is 14 months and we are getting her this zebra thing made by fisher price that she can sit on and bounce and spin. I’m also getting her aquadoodle so she can color, but it won’t make a mess anywhere.

you can donate your old toys to the goodwill or a local daycare, they would love to have them.

my son is 13 months old…
he really likes those boxes you shove the shapes in and rings.. anything that opens and closes, he has the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Home and plays with it all the time.
honestly really expensive toys have been a waste of money for me as the simple one keep him happier.
i do have my eye on the a to z zoo for christmas from target.com… it has really good reviews from parents. thats how i shop… i look at websites that have customer reviews to see if the parents think its a good toy or not.

I am getting Ava an art easel thing, she can use it now and in the future.
She loves the toy cart and play food! She pretends to feed me with the food. And even as a toddler she may like it. My cousin, who is 2 1/2, loves to play with it when he comes down.

My son loves anything cars! He loves animals and dinosaurs. I bought him a package from target with about 7 dinasaur figures and it has a play mat with a little scene. It has 2 or 3 smaller pieces in it but I will be taking those out before I wrap it for Christmas. I think anything in the toddler aisle they usually love. The clippo table is fun, Kai loves that oh and anything similar to a tricycle and books! They have versions for younger kiddos too. Good luck!
