Just find names you like, then see if they go with Pate.
Here are 5 sugestions for each gender:

    FEMALE
Ruby, Avalon, Isabella, Lilly & Kiera

    MALE
Lachlan, Cooper, Kyle, Spencer & Samson.
:D Hope it helps, they all go with Pate well.

EDIT: Just have a look at the answers above me! You wouldn’t think that you would have to type “serious answers only” but clearly you do! what a disgrace! however, you have to laugh at the idea of Mary Kate Pate.
    he he.

  4. Olivia J says:

Amelie, Matilda and Scarlett are great choices! Kaylee is cutesy, trendy, and doesn’t look like a serious name. Use Michaela if you like the nickname Kaylee.

I think Harrison Pate is the best from the boy’s list – but here are more you may like:

    Oliver Pate
    Jackson Pate
    Cole Pate
    Julian Pate
    Micah Pate

  5. ? says:

You have some of my favorite names listed there :)
Amelie is great, I also like Amelia. So many nicknames from Amelie/Amelia :)
Matilda is a favorite of mine, again, heaps of nicknames!
Scarlett is nice – Charlotte is one of my favorite names.
Kaylee – gorgeous name, but SO common!!
Harrison is great and I love love love Harry!!
    Max is awesome too.
    Noah is sweet, but common.
    Zac is great.
I would choose from Amelia or Matilda – therefore Matilda.
And can’t decide between Harrison, Max and Zac…hmm…probably Zac!!

  10. Joanne Ox says:

  12. fish says:

I like Kaylee the BEST for a GIRL
I LOVE Max for a boy

  13. figuresk8r@rocketmail.com says:

With a one syllable surname, you need to choose at least 2 syllables for the first name or it sounds weird. We have a one syllable last name and we all have at least 2 syllables in our first names (of course it is my married name so it is just coincidence that my name has 2 syllables).

From your list, I like Amelia, Scarlett, Harrison and Noah. Here are some others that popped into my head:
Girls: Tierney, Bethany, Annalise, Lucy, Jenna, Cassandra, Allyson, Colbi, Sophie,
Boys: Jackson, Aidan, Emery, Oliver, Wilson, Camden, Taylor, Emerson, Andrew, Jonathan

  14. littletimoune101 says:

    for girls you can do…
    Maddie Pate,Ella Pate,Olivia Pate

    And for boys

Kyle Pate, Ryan Pate, Liam Pate

    Hope it helps=)
    good luck:)

  15. Lydiann says:

    Girls:
    Samantha Pate
    Madison Pate
    Martha Pate
    Charlotte Pate
    Andrea Pate
    Margaret Pate
    Audrey Pate
    the possibilities are endless!

    Boys:
    Andrew Pate
    Christopher Pate
    Daniel Pate
    Duncan Pate
    Ryan Pate
    Jonathon Pate
    Mitchell Pate
    Maxwell Pate
    Jacob Pate

lots of names match the surname Pate, so you should keep your options open! good luck, congratulations, and God bless you and your family!

  16. rubybenubi says:

Go with the flow. A single syllable surname should have a multisyllable first name to avoid sounding choppy and harsh. That eliminates Max and Zac. Harrison (Harry or Hank) is OK if you don’t mind the constant Indiana Jones comparisons. To me, Noah is your best choice for a boy’s name.

Sound-wise, all the girl’s names work. I prefer Amelie; it’s a gorgeous name and has multiple nns to choose from (Amy, Melly, Lee). Scarlett and Kaylee are way too trendy and fail the doctor/president test (Dr. Scarlett Pate, President Kaylee Pate). Neither name will “grow” with a child. Matilda is a pretty name making a comeback but, with your last name, rates high on the fuddy-duddy scale.

Good luck to you. You’re on the right track.

  17. Waiting On You Boo ♀ says:

Amelie Pate – simply beautiful, I love French names! How about:

    Madeleine Pate
    Gisele Pate
    Annaliese Pate
    Adalynn Pate
    Gracelynn Pate
    Cadence Pate
    Renee Pate

“Pate” is a great surname to work with really, it’s short enough to flow well with most names. I would suggest choosing a 2 or even 3-4 syllable name to balance out the 1-syllable sound in your surname. Personally, “Scarlett Pate” sounds pretty but perhaps a little too harsh in my opinion with the many “t” sounds in there altogether. “Kaylee Pate” however is so flowing and melodic – definately a winner there!

As for your boys’ list, “Harrison Pate” is just wonderful! It’s a well put-together name with flow and rythm. It just looks great written down and said aloud too – I think you have your pick with that one! I would lengthen Max to Maxwell and Zac to Zacchary for formality and keep the “Max” and “Zac” as nicknames to give baby more options as to what he wants to go by [if baby is a "he" that is!].

    Other suggestions:

    Caleb Pate
    Caden Pate
    Jordon Pate
    Ryan Pate
    Samuel Pate
    Elijah Pate
    Warren Pate
    Aaron Pate
    Micah Pate
    Ewan Pate
    Evan Pate
    Myles Pate

    Good luck !!

I don’t like the name Scarlett, but I love the names Amelie, Matilda and Kaylee. I don’t like the names Harrison and Max, but I love the name Noah. I think if you name him Zac, it should be spelled Zach, and his name should be Zachary. Zach should be his nickname.

  19. Cat says:

From the girls I like Amelie, Scarlett and Kaylee. From the boys I like Max, Noah and Zac.

  20. Whispering Rose says:

    I love Matilda and Noah.
